Husqvarna SM125 Motorcycle - Street (1997-2012)
The Husqvarna SM125, a popular 125cc supermoto motorcycle, was produced from 1997 to 2012. Initially featuring a two-stroke engine, it evolved to include a four-stroke version towards the end of its production. This model is recognized for its versatility and performance in the 125cc category. The 1997-2012 period saw significant changes. The SM 125 and SM 125S models (from 2000 onwards) were powered by a 124.8 ccm two-stroke engine producing 15 hp, with continuous improvements for performance and Euro 3 compliance. A major shift occurred in 2011-2012 with the introduction of the SMR 125, featuring a 124.45 ccm four-stroke engine also delivering 15 hp, marking a completely different engine architecture. Cosmetic updates also took place, notably around 2009 and 2011. FAQ:

Maintenance
| Component | Interval | Details |
| Engine Oil (Gearbox Oil) | 10-15 hours (recreational riding) or 5-10 hours (aggressive/race riding) | Two-stroke engines do not have an engine oil filter like four-strokes. Oil change refers to gearbox oil. |
| Air Filter | 5-15 hours (recreational riding) or 2-5 hours (aggressive/race riding) | Clean and re-oil regularly for optimal airflow and engine protection. |
| Spark Plug | Check and replace as needed | Essential for easy starting and efficient engine operation. |
| Coolant | Check level regularly | Inspect hoses for leaks or wear. Replacement is a routine procedure. |
| Valve Inspections | Every 20-30 hours | Applicable to two-stroke models. |
| Top-End Inspections (Piston and Cylinder) | 30-50 hours (recreational riding) or 15-30 hours (aggressive/race riding) | |
| Bottom-End Inspections (Crankshaft and Bearings) | 60-100 hours (recreational riding) or 30-50 hours (aggressive/race riding) | |
| Chain Maintenance | Every 5 hours | Cleaning and lubrication. The SM125 uses a chain drive, not a belt. |
