Honda Nighthawk 450 Motorcycle - Street (1982-1986)
The Honda Nighthawk 450, officially known as the Honda CB450SC, was produced from 1982 to 1986. This mid-size standard motorcycle featured a retro-styled design and was powered by a robust parallel-twin engine. Its 447 cc air-cooled, four-stroke parallel-twin engine featured a single overhead camshaft (SOHC) and three valves per cylinder, fed by dual 34 mm carburetors. It delivered approximately 43 to 45 horsepower and 42 Nm of torque, transmitted via a six-speed manual gearbox and a chain final drive. While the core engine remained consistent, several updates and cosmetic changes were implemented across the model years. In 1982, it debuted with Comstar wheels and a speedometer calibrated to 137 km/h. By 1983, Comstar wheels were replaced with cast alloy wheels, and the speedometer was upgraded to read up to 169 km/h. The year 1985 saw the introduction of the CB450SCL variant specifically for the Californian market, designed to comply with stricter emissions regulations.
