Vehicle Information
Ducati Monster S4 Motorcycle - Street (2001-2002)
The Ducati Monster S4, produced from 2001 to 2002, marked a significant evolution for the Monster series. It was the first in the line to feature a liquid-cooled, four-valve engine, directly derived from the high-performance Ducati 916 Superbike. This powerful 916 cc V-Twin engine delivered 101 hp, pushing the Monster's capabilities beyond previous air-cooled models. Key technical advancements in 2001 included semi-floating front disc brakes with Brembo calipers, lighter Brembo wheels, and 43 mm Showa inverted forks, enhancing both performance and handling. During its 2001-2002 production, the standard Monster S4 saw no major mid-cycle generation or engine changes; its 916 cc engine displacement and horsepower remained consistent. However, a special edition, the Monster S4 Fogarty, was also offered. This model celebrated Carl Fogarty's racing career and featured a revised suspension system for 20 mm higher ground clearance, alongside unique paint and graphic schemes. The introduction of the S4 itself in 2001 was the primary generational leap for the Monster platform during this period. Q: Is this product compatible with my Ducati Monster S4?
