Vehicle Information
Honda CBX 1000 Super Sport Motorcycle - Street (1979-1982)
The Honda CBX 1000 Super Sport, produced from 1979 to 1982, is a legendary motorcycle renowned for its powerful inline-six engine. Initially positioned as a pure sport bike, it evolved into a sport-touring machine during its production run. While the CBX 1000 Super Sport did not feature distinct trim levels in the traditional sense, it underwent significant evolution. The 1979 and 1980 models were naked, sport-oriented bikes. In 1981, the motorcycle was transformed into a sport-touring model (CBX-B), incorporating a factory fairing, hard saddlebags, a Pro-Link single-shock rear suspension, a sturdier front fork, and a strengthened frame. The engine was also re-tuned to provide more mid-range power. The 1982 model (CBX-C) retained these enhancements with primarily cosmetic changes. FAQ:
