Vehicle Information
KTM 640 Adventure Motorcycle - Dual-Sport (1998-2008)
The KTM 640 Adventure, produced from 1998 to 2008, is an iconic dual-sport motorcycle, renowned for its robust LC4 single-cylinder engine and off-road capabilities. It featured a 625cc (or 624.6 cc) four-stroke, SOHC engine with 4 valves per cylinder, liquid-cooled. This engine typically produced between 49 and 54 horsepower and approximately 52 Nm of torque at 5500 rpm. The model underwent notable evolutions. In 1998, the 620 Adventure (609cc) was succeeded by the 640 Adventure-R, featuring the 625cc engine. Internal improvements were indicated around 2003 by an engine color change (black to grey). In 2004, significant updates were introduced, including a low front fender, a twin-disc front brake system, and a shift in the primary color scheme (silver to orange). A "Traveller Edition" was offered in 2008, before the model was replaced by the KTM 690 Enduro. FAQ:
