Description
FEATURES
- The steel used in the EBC rotor blades is a special stainless blend with higher friction effect than normal heat treated stainless steel found on stock discs
- Boasts up to 10% improvement in friction effect improving brakes even further
- Weight of the X and XC series is reduced by 5-10% by using a 6 only button drive system on a lightweight alloy center hub, which once again grabs the lead over stock parts
- The SD-System uses a square sided rivet with many advantages
- The SD-System of square sided buttons means that the rotor can expand inwards and outwards unrestrained and that perfect rotor functionality is retained at any speed or load
- This extends the lifetime of the rotor and prevents distortion failures
- Keeps the rotor blades perfectly true and flat throughout their life cycle and technically the only reason for a rotor to need replacement will be impact damage or over a very extended number of miles possible rotor wear limits being exceeded
- This means that a rotor equipped with the EBC Brakes SD-System could last 5-10 times as long as a conventional rotor built with circular buttons
- The drive forces under braking are transmitted over a line contact on the square side of the button compared to the point contact of a circular button
- Two (2) Sets of Rotors Required

Yamaha Tenere 700 Motorcycle - Dual-Sport (2019-2026)
The Yamaha Tenere 700, launched in 2019 and available through 2026, is an adventure motorcycle renowned for its robustness and versatility. Powered by a 689cc CP2 parallel-twin engine, it delivers linear and reliable torque, ideal for long journeys and off-road exploration. While the 689cc CP2 engine has remained the consistent core of the Tenere 700, the platform has seen significant evolution over the years. Initial models (2019-2022) focused on a "back to basics" mechanical approach with switchable ABS. From 2023, major electronic updates were introduced, including a new 5-inch TFT display and three-mode ABS. 2025 saw the integration of ride-by-wire throttle, traction control, and power modes. For 2026, refined engine internals for Euro6 compliance, a larger 6.3-inch TFT screen with connectivity, and a six-axis IMU for lean-sensitive traction and slide control were added. New trims like the Rally Edition (2020), World Raid (2022), Extreme Edition (2024), and Explore Edition (2024) also expanded the lineup, offering specific equipment for different riding styles. Q : Are parts compatible with all Tenere 700 years (2019-2026)?
R : Compatibility may vary depending on the year and trim of your Tenere 700. Please use our year and edition selector to find the exact parts for your specific model.
Maintenance
| Component | Interval | Details |
| General Service Interval | Every 6,400 km or 6 months (North America); Every 10,000 km or 1 year (Europe/APAC). First service at 1,000 km. | These intervals are general guidelines. Always refer to the owner's manual for regional and model year specifics. |
| Engine Oil and Oil Filter | Every general service interval. | Replace engine oil and filter at every service interval. For frequent off-road use, heavy loads, or hot climates, more frequent changes (e.g., every 3,000-4,000 km) are advisable. |
| Spark Plugs | Check, adjust, and clean regularly. Replace every 42,800 km (North America) or 40,000 km (Europe/APAC). | |
| Air Filter | Replace every 20,000 km (Europe/APAC). Inspect after every off-road ride. | In dusty or muddy conditions, clean or replace more frequently. Off-road use may require halving the interval. Do not clean with compressed air. |
| Coolant | Check level regularly. Change periodically as per manual. | The engine is liquid-cooled; keeping the coolant fresh is essential. |
| Drive Chain | Clean and lubricate every 500 km or more frequently. | The Tenere 700 uses a chain, not a belt. Check tension regularly, especially after riding in wet or muddy conditions. |
