Honda XR650R Dirt Bike (2000-2008)
The Honda XR650R, produced from 2000 to 2007, was a high-performance off-road motorcycle specifically designed for desert racing. It featured a powerful 649cc liquid-cooled, SOHC single-cylinder four-stroke engine and an advanced aluminum box frame. This model was renowned for its robust construction and capability to deliver approximately 55-61 horsepower when "uncorked," making it a formidable machine in its class. The XR650R was introduced in 2000 as an entirely new model, replacing the XR600R with significant advancements like its liquid-cooled engine and aluminum frame. Throughout its production run from 2000 to 2007, the XR650R maintained a consistent design. There were no distinct trim levels or significant mid-cycle generation changes or major engine overhauls. Models from 2001 onwards were largely identical to the original 2000 design. It is important to note that the XR650R is a dedicated off-road model, distinct from the air-cooled XR650L.
