Description
The Excel Takasago aluminum alloy rim is the benchmark in off-road racing rim technology. Every Excel MX rim is engineered and designed to perform in extreme hostile environments where other rims routinely fail. In fact, Excel has won more Motocross and off-road championships - worldwide - than all competitors combined! Part of the secret is in our exclusive 7000 series aluminum alloy which has a 50% higher yield strength than our competitor's 6 series aluminum. Also, exclusive know- how in extrusion design, complex multi-step forming, advanced robotics welding, and in hard anodizing such a tough and complex material is key to Excel's strength and world market dominance. They are the choice of all Factory Works and Privateer Teams worldwide and the choice of OEM builders such as Honda, Kawasaki, KTM, Suzuki and Yamaha.

Vehicle Information
Husqvarna TXC 449 Dirt Bike (2011-2012)
The Husqvarna TXC 449, available from 2011 to 2012, was a robust cross-country off-road motorcycle. It was powered by a 449.6 cc single-cylinder, four-stroke, liquid-cooled engine featuring DOHC and four valves per cylinder, derived from the BMW G450X. In 2011, the TXC 449 was a prominent model within the TXC lineup, positioned as an intermediate offering alongside the TXC i250 and TXC 511. For the 2012 model year, the TXC 449 was not listed as a distinct cross-country trim. Instead, the TXC lineup for 2012 consisted of the TXC 250, TXC 310 (a new intermediate model), and TXC 511. While the TXC 449 model was discontinued, the underlying 449cc engine platform and chassis received significant updates across Husqvarna's off-road range in 2012. These updates included a new, more rigid chromoly frame, re-valved Kayaba suspension components, silver Excel rims, updated bodywork with IPD graphics, a simplified electrical system, and WP radiators. The 449cc engine itself, as seen in the 2012 TC 449, benefited from revised ignition mapping, new valve timing, a larger airbox, DLC-coated connecting rod, and a more durable crankshaft. FAQ:
