The Husqvarna TC 85, a popular minicycle in the motocross world, has maintained a consistent engine displacement of 84.9 cc from 2014 to 2026. Designed for younger riders, it is known for its nimble handling and advanced two-stroke engine technology. It is primarily offered in two trims, distinguished by their wheel sizes: the TC 85 17/14 (17-inch front wheel, 14-inch rear wheel) and the TC 85 19/16 (19-inch front wheel, 16-inch rear wheel) for taller riders. The engine is an 84.9 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, two-stroke unit with a Keihin PWK 28 carburetor and a 6-speed manual transmission. A significant new generation was introduced for the 2025 model year. Models from 2014-2024 generally featured a steel frame and WP suspension. The 2025 generation brought an all-new chassis for improved handling, an updated engine with new components (cylinder head, spark plug, ignition, exhaust) for boosted low-to-mid range power, and redesigned ergonomics. A lighter swingarm and shorter WP XACT shock reduced overall height. The 2026 model, the second year of this generation, refined these updates with an adjustable rear brake pedal, a lightweight hydraulic clutch, new WP fork seals, and a white powder-coated frame, along with two pre-set engine maps.
