Description
For over a century, Gates has driven innovation in belt technology to power the machines that move you. Gates® G-Force C12 CVT belt drives are engineered to navigate the toughest off-road trails with power and efficiency. The industry's first CVT belt with carbon tensile cord also features a trapezoid top-notch and rounded cog design for superior flexibility and heat dissipation, along with a unique gum adhesion that reduces fiber pullout within the belt extending the life of the belt. Gates combines material science and process engineering to create innovative products that provide performance, reliability and the strength to withstand even the most challenging off-road environments. Continuous innovation isn't just what we do. It's who we are.
WHY G-FORCE C12 BELTS?
- STRENGTH: The first CVT belt utilizing carbon tensile cord for minimal stretch and extraordinary strength.
- FLEXIBILITY: High-performance neoprene with a trapezoidal topnotch and rounded bottom cog design maximizing heat control and flexibility.
- DURABILITY: Carbon tensile cords are bonded to aramid fiber-loaded rubber with specially formulated adhesion gum, resulting in increased side-load resistance, preventing belt distortion and edge cord pullout.
- PERFORMANCE: Gain optimal power transmission for faster acceleration, improved throttle response and consistent shifting performance.

Vehicle Information
Arctic Cat Blast M 4000 Snowmobile (2021-2024)
The Arctic Cat Blast M 4000 (2021-2024) is a mid-sized mountain snowmobile, consistently powered by a 397cc, 2-stroke, C-TEC2 single-cylinder engine with EFI, delivering approximately 65 horsepower. This liquid-cooled engine features a counterbalance shaft for smooth operation and utilizes an Arctic Drive System with CVTech clutches. Introduced in 2021 with the ALPHA ONE Single-Beam Rear Suspension and a 146-inch track, the Blast M 4000 saw its most notable evolution in 2023. That year, the new Blast M 4000 LTD trim brought significant performance enhancements, including a narrower ski stance (35.5-37.5 inches), upgraded lightweight FOX Float 3 shocks, and a lightweight mountain seat. The standard M 4000 also received a 7-tooth drive sprocket for improved deep snow lift. For 2024, these key LTD features, such as the narrower ski stance and lightweight seat, became standard across the entire Blast M 4000 lineup, alongside a slightly smaller 10.4-gallon fuel tank. The engine platform remained unchanged throughout the 2021-2024 period. FAQ:
Q: How do I know which parts fit my Arctic Cat Blast M 4000?
A: Due to specific trim and feature updates between 2021 and 2024, please use our year and edition selector on this page to ensure you find parts guaranteed to fit your exact snowmobile.
Maintenance
| Component | Interval | Details |
| Oil (2-Stroke Engine) | Before every ride or daily | Check oil level. Use only high-quality 2-stroke injection oil (TC-W3 or manufacturer-specific). Tank capacity: 3.08 L. Light illuminates at 1.09 L. Never run out of oil. |
| Drive Belt | Monthly | Inspect for wear, cracking, or stretching. Replace if unsatisfactory. New belts require a break-in period of approximately 40 km, at 3/4 throttle or less, varying speeds (not exceeding 96 km/h). |
| Spark Plug | Every 1,600 km | Inspect and clean. Replace as necessary. |
| Air Filter (Air Silencer) | Seasonally | Inspect and clean. |
| Coolant | Before every ride or daily | Check level when engine is cold. Level must be at the cold fill line. Use Arctic Cat Antifreeze – 60/40 Extended Life. |
