Description
For over a century, Gates has driven innovation in belt technology to power the machines that move you. Gates® G-Force C12 CVT belt drives are engineered to navigate the toughest off-road trails with power and efficiency. The industry's first CVT belt with carbon tensile cord also features a trapezoid top-notch and rounded cog design for superior flexibility and heat dissipation, along with a unique gum adhesion that reduces fiber pullout within the belt extending the life of the belt. Gates combines material science and process engineering to create innovative products that provide performance, reliability and the strength to withstand even the most challenging off-road environments. Continuous innovation isn't just what we do. It's who we are.
WHY G-FORCE C12 BELTS?

Vehicle Information
Can-Am Renegade 650 ATV (2018-2026)
The Can-Am Renegade 650, produced from 2018 to 2026, is a sport and utility ATV known for its robustness and performance. It features a Rotax 650cc (649.6cc) V-twin, liquid-cooled engine with Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI). This engine typically produces 62 horsepower for North American models, while some European or T-category homologated versions deliver 59 horsepower. The Renegade 650 offers a combination of power and agility, making it suitable for a variety of terrains and uses. While the core engine remained consistent, the Renegade 650 underwent significant evolutions over the years. In 2019, it received an improved suspension system, including new arched double front A-arms for better handling. 2023 was a pivotal year, seeing the introduction of the base 650 model to the US market, a redesigned front fascia with new LED lighting, new color options, and the addition of Intelligent Engine Braking (iEB) with three selectable levels. Further suspension enhancements were made in 2024, including an arched double A-arm front suspension, a sway bar, and revised wheels, resulting in a wider stance and improved ground clearance. Q: Is this product compatible with my Can-Am Renegade 650?
R: To ensure perfect compatibility, please use our year and trim selector located at the top of this page.
Maintenance
| Component | Interval | Details |
| Engine Oil and Oil Filter | Every 3 200 km or 100 h or annually, whichever comes first. | For severe use, this interval may be reduced to 1 600 km or 50 h. |
| Drive Belt | Inspection: Every 1 600 km or 50 h. Replacement: Every 3 200 km or 100 h. | Use in harsh conditions (mud, sand, high speeds) may necessitate earlier replacement. |
| Spark Plug | Every 6 400 km or 200-400 h or every 2 years. A general ATV recommendation is to replace every 100 h. | |
| Air Filter | Cleaning/Inspection: Every 1 600 km or 50 h, or after each ride in dusty/muddy conditions. Replacement: Every 50 h, or more frequently if needed. | For severe use, replacement may be needed every 800 km or 25 h. |
| Coolant | Every 12 800 km or 5 years. | Can-Am's XPS Extended Life Pre-Mixed Coolant is a 5-year formula. |
