The Arctic Cat M6, a mountain snowmobile produced from 2006 to 2011, was renowned for its lightweight maneuverability, built upon the M chassis introduced in 2005. Throughout this period, it consistently featured a 599cc, liquid-cooled, 2-stroke engine with electronic fuel injection (EFI), often referred to as the 600 EFI II, delivering approximately 118 horsepower. While the engine remained consistent, the M6 received several significant updates. In 2007, it incorporated an updated ACT drive system with push-button reverse and rider-forward ergonomics. The year 2009 saw the introduction of the Arctic Cat Engine Reverse (ACER) system, reducing weight. In 2010, refinements included a lighter, taller seat and new skis.
