The Ski-Doo Grand Touring 800 series, produced from 1994 to 2003, was designed for comfortable long-distance snowmobiling. While the "800" designation was used throughout this period, models with a true 800cc class engine (796cc) became consistently prominent from 1999 onwards, initially featuring a Rotax triple-cylinder engine. A significant change occurred in 2002 with the introduction of a 799cc liquid-cooled Rotax twin engine.
