The Trekker Alaska Top case holds one modular helmet. Featuring the MONOKEY® fixing system, which allows for a single lock to open and release the plate with the same key. Compatible with all Monokey plates, apart from those with the stop light kit connection.
Like the Trekker ALASKA side case, it comes in two finishes: Natural and Black. The clean, minimal aesthetic pairs well with the rest of the range, and prioritizes practicality of use. Particular care has been devoted to ensuring the product is durable and repairable: the removal system, the stabilizers at the bottom, the base and other components can be easily replaced, greatly extending the useful life of the top case.
Features
- WIRELEASE® SYSTEM: the cases are released from the plate by turning an external knob that is equipped with a cable system (Patented), placed directly under the Security Lock. It is not necessary to turn the knob to attach the cases.
- Two handles placed on the back of the top case, which are also integrated with the strong hinges on the lid, allowing the latter to open more fully without the need for classic retention cables: once opened, the lid is held in position in order to make packing/unpacking easier.
- Four belt-strap loops integrated into the structure of the lid, set into the contoured lid to give an elegant shape to the whole case.
- Set up to allow the attachment of a backrest (available for purchase as an optional) using screws, without the need to pierce or attach any component with adhesive;
- Rivets fitted with gaskets and sealed using silicone, ensuring watertightness even under the worst riding conditions.
- A series of grips built into the interior, integrated into the supporting structure, allowing loads to be attached to both the lid and bottom of the case.

Vehicle Information
Yamaha V Star 1100 Motorcycle - Street (1999-2009)
The Yamaha V Star 1100, produced from 1999 to 2009, is a heavyweight cruiser renowned for its consistent design and mechanical reliability. Also known as the DragStar 1100 or XVS1100, this model maintained a single-generation platform throughout its production, featuring a robust 1,063cc air-cooled, 75-degree V-twin engine. This SOHC engine, paired with a five-speed transmission and a shaft final drive, saw no major mechanical revisions to its core components during these model years. While the engine and drivetrain remained remarkably consistent, Yamaha offered the V Star 1100 in various trims, primarily the Custom, Classic, and Silverado. The Classic, introduced in 2000, featured more rounded styling, floorboards, and extended fenders. The Silverado added touring amenities like a windscreen, sissy bar, and soft saddlebags, catering to different rider preferences. Minor updates over the years were mainly cosmetic, affecting bodywork, wheels, and handlebars, without altering the fundamental platform. FAQ:
Q: How can I ensure this part fits my Yamaha V Star 1100?
A: To guarantee compatibility, please use the year and model selector at the top of this page.
Q: Were there significant mechanical differences between the V Star 1100 trims?
A: No, the core engine and drivetrain remained consistent across all Custom, Classic, and Silverado trims from 1999 to 2009. Differences were primarily cosmetic and accessory-based.
Maintenance
| Component | Interval | Details |
| Engine Oil and Oil Filter | Every 7,000 km or 6 months | Use Yamalube 10W-40 or API SG+ / JASO MA oil. Change oil and filter together. Approximately 3.3 liters of oil are needed. |
| Spark Plugs | Inspect every 7,000 km; Replace every 13,000 km or 12 months | Check condition, adjust gap, and clean as necessary during inspection. Recommended spark plugs: NGK BPR7ES. |
| Air Filter | Clean every 7,000 km | Replace if damaged. More frequent service is needed in dusty or wet conditions. Replacement may be needed every 4,000 to 6,000 km depending on conditions. Do not clean with compressed air on later models. |
| Drive Belt | Not applicable | The Yamaha V Star 1100 uses a shaft drive system, not a belt. Therefore, there is no drive belt to maintain or replace. |
| Coolant | Not applicable | The Yamaha V Star 1100 is an air-cooled motorcycle and does not use liquid coolant. Therefore, there is no coolant to check or replace. |
