Suzuki GN125 Motorcycle - Street (1982-2022)
The Suzuki GN125, produced from 1982 to 2022, is a versatile and enduring motorcycle, renowned for its reliability and accessibility. Positioned as an ideal model for beginners, it maintained a simple and robust core design. Throughout its production, it was equipped with a 124 cc single-cylinder, four-stroke, air-cooled, Single Overhead Camshaft (SOHC) engine. While the mechanical core remained consistent, the GN125 underwent notable evolutions. Early models (1982-1984) featured front and rear drum brakes. From 1985 onwards, the front brake was upgraded to a disc, while the rear remained a drum, a configuration maintained for later models, including those from 2022. Wheels also evolved: the original 1982 GN125 was offered with wire wheels, while the GN125E variant featured cast light alloy wheels. Later models generally adopted alloy wheels. Specific versions like the GN125H or GN125F, often for Latin American markets, integrated practical features such as racks and handguards. Engine horsepower varied slightly over the years, from approximately 11 hp initially to 13 hp during its mid-production period, then around 12.5 hp for more recent models. FAQ:
