Vehicle Information
Honda Rincon 650 ATV (2003-2005)
The Honda Rincon 650, produced from 2003 to 2005, represents the first generation of this premium utility ATV. Known for its robustness and comfort, it was powered by a liquid-cooled, overhead valve (OHV), single-cylinder, four-stroke 649cc engine, fed by a carburetor, producing approximately 33.5 horsepower. This engine, paired with an automotive-style automatic 3-speed transmission with a hydraulic torque converter, offered reliable performance. The Rincon 650 also featured a fully independent rear suspension, radial tires, and a selectable 2WD/4WD system (TraxLok). Initially offered as a single base model (TRX650FA) in 2003, Honda introduced an additional version in 2004: the GPScape model (TRX650GPS or TRX650FGA), which integrated a GPS system directly into the instrument cluster. This option continued to be available in 2005. There were no generation breaks or major engine redesigns during this 2003-2005 period; engine specifications and the platform remained consistent. Significant changes, such as an increase in displacement to 675cc and the adoption of Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI), occurred with the second generation of the Rincon starting in 2006. FAQ:
