Honda Sportrax 250 ATV (2001-2008)
The Honda Sportrax 250, also known as the TRX250EX and later the TRX250X, was produced from 2001 through 2008. This popular sport ATV was powered by a consistent 229cc, air-cooled, OHV, single-cylinder, four-stroke engine, delivering approximately 17 horsepower. Its longitudinally mounted engine allowed for efficient power transfer. The most significant mid-cycle changes occurred in 2006. This update brought new bodywork inspired by the TRX450R, giving it a more aggressive, sporty appearance. A key innovation was the Honda SportClutch, a system allowing manual clutch actuation while preventing engine stalling, making it easier for beginners and more controlled for experienced riders.
