Honda CR80R Dirt Bike (1980-2002)
The Honda CR80R was a renowned two-stroke motocross motorcycle produced from 1980 to 2002. Designed for competitive youth riders, this agile dirt bike featured an 80cc-class, single-cylinder, 2-stroke engine paired with a 6-speed transmission, offering a powerful and responsive ride. It was eventually succeeded by the CR85R. Over its 22-year production, the CR80R saw several key evolutions. Major updates included the transition from air-cooled to liquid-cooled in 1983, and a significant engine redesign in 1986 that introduced Nikasil plating and improved power output, forming the basis for subsequent models. A notable trim, the CR80R Expert (Big-Wheel), was introduced in 1996, featuring larger wheels and a longer swingarm for increased ground clearance and seat height, catering to taller riders.
