Vehicle Information
Ski-Doo Summit 1000 Snowmobile (2005-2008)
The Ski-Doo Summit 1000, produced from 2005 to 2008, was a high-performance mountain snowmobile known for its powerful 2-stroke engine. Across 2005-2007, it featured the 997.5cc (or 998cc) Rotax 1000 SDI engine, a semi-direct injected twin-cylinder unit. Trims like Highmark and Highmark X offered advanced suspension and aggressive track options. A significant generation break occurred in 2008. While the 1000 SDI engine was still available in other Ski-Doo models, the Summit line for 2008 largely transitioned to the new, lighter, and more rigid REV-XP chassis. Concurrently, Summit models primarily adopted the 800R Power T.E.K. engine, marking a shift away from the 1000cc engine in the Summit series for this period. FAQ:
