Vehicle Information
GAS GAS XC 300 Dirt Bike (2000-2021)
The GAS GAS XC 300, produced from 2000 to 2021, is a renowned cross-country motorcycle known for its robust two-stroke, single-cylinder engine, typically ranging from 293cc to 299.3cc. Throughout its production, it often shared characteristics with the EC (Enduro Cross) models, focusing on off-road racing performance. This model saw significant evolution over its lifespan. A major overhaul occurred in 2018, introducing a completely new, lighter chromoly steel frame, an aluminum subframe, updated bodywork, a larger fuel tank, and a new swingarm. The engine received a new cylinder, crankshaft, and cylinder head, alongside the adoption of KYB suspension components. Further substantial changes arrived in 2021 under Pierer Mobility Group ownership. The 300cc two-stroke engine was updated with electronic fuel injection (EFI) and oil injection, becoming electric start only and incorporating a vibration-reducing balancer shaft. The chassis was re-engineered based on the KTM off-road platform, featuring WP suspension and Brembo or Braktec hydraulics, with the XC designation largely transitioning to EX for cross-country models.
