K&N powersports chrome canister oil filters contain a modern synthetic filter media, designed for ultimate flow with less pressure drop, yet engineered for outstanding filtration. K&N powersports 'spin-on' oil filters feature a heavy-duty, chrome-plated metal can. Most of these have a 17 mm nut affixed onto the end that allows for easy removal. The 17 mm nut is crossed-drilled so racers can safety wire the filter to their bike.

Harley-Davidson Sportster 1100 Motorcycle - Street (1986-1987)
The Harley-Davidson Sportster 1100, produced for a brief two-year period from 1986 to 1987, marked a significant milestone with the introduction of the Evolution (Evo) engine to the Sportster line. This air-cooled, 1101 cc (1100cc) V-Twin engine replaced the long-standing Ironhead, bringing notable advancements in performance and reliability. It produced approximately 63 hp in 1986 and 62 hp in 1987. This period was crucial for the Sportster line due to the arrival of the Evolution engine, a major generational shift. The Evo engine, featuring aluminum heads and cylinders, improved cooling and reduced weight. Both 1986 and 1987 models were equipped with a 4-speed manual transmission and a chain final drive. Mid-year 1986 revisions, affecting 1987 models, included changes to the cylinder head combustion chambers and clutch/countershaft gears to optimize the transmission.
