Vehicle Information
Honda RVT1000R Motorcycle - Street (2000-2009)
The Honda RVT1000R, also known as the RC51, is a high-performance sportbike produced from 2000 to 2006, though our fitment covers the 2000-2009 period. Designed to dominate World Superbike racing, it features a potent 999cc liquid-cooled 90-degree V-twin engine. This model was renowned for its racing pedigree and robust performance, offering a thrilling experience for enthusiasts. A significant update occurred in 2002 with the introduction of the SP2 model, which superseded the initial SP1 (2000-2001). The SP2 brought substantial improvements, including revised engine components like larger throttle bodies and updated fuel injection, boosting horsepower by approximately 5 hp. Chassis enhancements included a stronger, lighter frame and swingarm, sharper steering geometry, and a lighter subframe, all contributing to improved handling and a weight reduction of about 5 kg. Minor aesthetic changes and special editions, such as the 2004 Nicky Hayden replica, were also introduced during the SP2's production run. No RVT1000R models were offered from 2007 to 2009. FAQ:
