Honda Shadow 1100 Motorcycle - Street (1985-2008)
The Honda Shadow 1100, produced from 1985 to 2008, is a renowned cruiser motorcycle known for its consistent 1099 cc liquid-cooled V-twin engine. This model offered a blend of classic styling and reliable performance, making it a popular choice for riders seeking a comfortable and powerful ride. Throughout its production, the Shadow 1100 underwent several significant updates and introduced various trims. The initial 1985-1986 VT1100C models featured higher horsepower. A major redesign in 1987 (Second Generation VT1100C) brought aesthetic changes, a reduction in horsepower, and a shift to a 4-speed transmission. Later, trims like the VT1100C2 ACE (1995-1999) introduced a single-pin crankshaft for a different V-twin feel, while the Shadow Spirit (1997-2007) reverted to a 5-speed transmission. Other notable trims included the Aero, ACE Tourer, and Sabre, each offering distinct styling and features. FAQ:
