Vehicle Information
Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6RR Motorcycle - Street (2003-2006)
The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6RR (2003-2006) is a specialized, limited-production sport motorcycle primarily designed for Supersport racing homologation. It stands apart from the standard ZX-6R of the era by featuring a 599cc engine, whereas the ZX-6R typically came with a 636cc engine during this period. Throughout these years, the ZX-6RR itself was the specific trim offered for racing, with no other sub-trims. The 2003-2004 models introduced the 599cc engine with fuel injection, forged pistons, a slipper clutch, and radial-mounted front brakes. For 2005-2006, Kawasaki implemented significant engine revisions, including new cylinders and cylinder heads, oval-shaped throttle bodies, and a redesigned ram air intake system. The transmission was also improved, and the frame and swingarm were updated, featuring an under-seat exhaust. The 2006 model largely carried over the 2005 enhancements. FAQ:
