Vehicle Information
Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 Motorcycle - Street (1996-2008)
The Kawasaki Vulcan 1500, produced from 1996 to 2008, is a series of cruiser motorcycles known for its liquid-cooled 1,470 cc V-twin engine. It offered riders a combination of classic styling and reliable performance throughout its production run.
While the 1,470 cc engine displacement remained consistent, the series underwent significant evolutions. Initially equipped with a 4-speed transmission and a carburetor, the Vulcan Classic was upgraded to a 5-speed transmission in 1998. The year 2000 marked a turning point with the introduction of electronic fuel injection (FI) for the Classic and Nomad models, replacing the carburetor. Notable variants like the Nomad (touring) and Drifter (retro styling) were introduced, followed by the Mean Streak in 2002, a performance-oriented version with a modified engine for increased power. These changes allowed the platform to adapt to various riding styles.
