Vehicle Information
Kawasaki Vulcan 500 Motorcycle - Street (1990-2009)
The Kawasaki Vulcan 500, produced from 1990 to 2009, was a popular cruiser-style motorcycle known for its reliable 498cc liquid-cooled, DOHC, parallel-twin engine. This model offered an accessible entry into the cruiser segment, combining comfortable ergonomics with a capable powertrain. A significant mid-cycle update occurred in 1996, dividing the production into two main generations: the EN500A (1990-1996) and the EN500C, also known as the Vulcan 500 LTD (1996-2009). While both shared the same engine architecture, the EN500C received a reconfigured engine with new camshafts and lower compression pistons, shifting power to boost low-end torque. Carburetors were downsized from 34mm to 32mm, and the final drive transitioned from a belt on the EN500A to a chain on the EN500C. The LTD also featured updated aesthetics, moving from alloy to spoke wheels, and improved ergonomics. Q: How can I be sure this part fits my Kawasaki Vulcan 500?
