Vehicle Information
Kawasaki Vulcan 88 1500 Motorcycle - Street (1987-1995)
The Kawasaki Vulcan 88 1500, produced from 1987 to 1995, was a prominent heavyweight cruiser known for its robust 1470 cc liquid-cooled V-twin engine. This powerplant featured a 50-degree configuration, SOHC, four valves per cylinder, and was fed by two Keihin CV carburetors. All models within this period utilized a 4-speed transmission and a reliable shaft final drive.
Throughout its 1987-1995 production run, the Vulcan 88 1500 maintained a largely consistent fundamental design and engine specifications. Minor variations included trim options like the standard Vulcan 88 (later Vulcan 1500) with alloy wheels and a 16-liter fuel tank, and the Vulcan 88 SE (1987-1992) which featured spoke wheels and a 12-liter tank. No significant generational changes, such as a transmission upgrade or a new platform, occurred within this specific timeframe; major updates were introduced in subsequent years. Q: How do I ensure I select the correct parts for my Kawasaki Vulcan 88 1500?
A: To guarantee a perfect fit, please use the year and model selector at the top of this page. This will filter parts specifically compatible with your motorcycle's exact specifications.
