Vehicle Information
Kawasaki Jet Ski STX 1200 Personal Watercraft (2002-2007)
The Kawasaki Jet Ski STX 1200, produced from 2002 to 2007, encompasses two distinct personal watercraft models: the 2-stroke 1200 STX-R (2002-2005) and the 4-stroke STX-12F (2003-2007). The 1200 STX-R, a racing-oriented model, featured an 1176cc, 145 HP, 2-stroke, 3-cylinder engine. Its fuel tank capacity saw a minor increase in 2004. The STX-12F, introduced in 2003, marked Kawasaki's entry into 4-stroke PWCs, powered by an 1199cc, 125 HP, in-line 4-cylinder engine derived from the Ninja ZX-12R sportbike. This model was positioned as the flagship during its production run. These two models represent a significant evolution in engine technology within the STX 1200 series. Q: How do I ensure I select the correct parts for my STX 1200?
A: Due to variations between the 2-stroke STX-R and 4-stroke STX-12F models, always use the year and model selector on this page to confirm compatibility.
