Vehicle Information
Yamaha Niken Motorcycle - Street (2019)
The 2019 Yamaha Niken is a unique three-wheeled motorcycle, also known as a Leaning Multi-Wheeler (LMW), designed to offer enhanced stability and grip. For its debut year, the Niken was powered by an 847cc liquid-cooled, DOHC, 12-valve inline three-cylinder engine. This engine, while based on the Tracer 900's unit, received significant modifications for the Niken's distinct platform. These included an 18% increase in crankshaft inertial mass for improved drivability, stronger transmission gears, revised electronic fuel injection (EFI) settings, and lower final drive gearing. The 2019 model year saw the introduction of two trims: the standard Niken and the touring-focused Niken GT. The GT variant added features such as soft quick-release side cases, a tall touring windscreen, comfort seats, heated grips, a security alarm, an extra 12-volt outlet, and a centerstand, enhancing its long-distance capabilities. There were no mid-cycle generation changes within the 2019 model year itself. FAQ:
