Vehicle Information
Honda Transalp 600 Motorcycle - Dual-Sport (1987-1999)
The Honda Transalp 600, officially known as the XL600V, was a prominent touring enduro motorcycle produced from 1987 to 1999. Powered by a reliable 583 cc liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 52° V-twin engine, it was offered as a single model throughout its production, focusing on versatility and long-distance comfort. While there were no distinct trim levels, the XL600V underwent several significant evolutionary changes. Initial models produced 50 hp, which briefly increased to 55 hp for 1989-1990, before returning to 50 hp. Key updates included the replacement of the rear drum brake with a disc in 1991, alongside a new dashboard. In 1994, the motorcycle received a more modern fairing and updated headlights. Further refinements in 1996 brought new 34mm carburetors and a microprocessor-driven ignition system. The front braking system was enhanced in 1997 with a second disc, and manufacturing shifted from Japan to Italy. These continuous improvements ensured the Transalp 600 remained a capable and popular choice for adventure riders. Q: Is this part compatible with my Honda Transalp 600?
