The Kawasaki KDX200, produced from 1983 to 2006, was a popular enduro motorcycle known for its off-road capabilities and consistent 198cc engine displacement. Over its 23-year production run, the KDX200 underwent several significant generational and mid-cycle changes, though its core identity as a lightweight, two-stroke off-road machine remained. The KDX200 evolved through four main generations. The "A" models (1983-1985) featured an air-cooled engine. The "C" generation (1986-1988) introduced the Kawasaki Integrated Powervalve System (KIPS). A major redesign occurred with the "E" generation (1989-1994), bringing a liquid-cooled engine, a modified KIPS, and a new frame.
