Vehicle Information
Suzuki GSX-S1000 Motorcycle - Street (2016-2026)
The Suzuki GSX-S1000, a prominent naked sportbike, has seen several updates and the introduction of new trims between 2016 and 2026, while consistently utilizing a 999cc inline-four engine derived from the GSX-R1000. This engine, initially based on the GSX-R1000's K5 powerplant, was optimized for street riding, offering a balance of performance and torque. While the 999cc inline-four engine remained consistent, significant evolutions marked its journey. In 2017, an initial update increased power from 143 hp to 150 hp and introduced a slipper clutch. The most comprehensive overhaul arrived for the 2021/2022 models (launched in Europe in 2021, then other markets in 2022), featuring Euro5 compliance, power increased to 152 PS, new camshafts, smaller throttle bodies, a redesigned exhaust system, and major aesthetic and electronic enhancements, including a bi-directional quickshifter and a full-color TFT display. The range also diversified with standard (naked), F (faired, replaced by the GT), GT (grand tourer) versions, and, from 2024, the GX (adventure crossover) equipped with advanced electronic suspension and a six-axis IMU.
