Vehicle Information
Triumph Daytona 600 Motorcycle - Street (1983-2004)
The Triumph Daytona 600, produced between 1983 and 2004, represents two distinct sport motorcycles. The first model, launched in 1983 by the original Meriden factory, was a sport bike designed to appeal to younger buyers with a 600cc displacement (derived from a shorter-stroked 650cc twin-carb engine). It aimed for a lower insurance price bracket. Following a production hiatus, the second iteration of the Daytona 600 was introduced by the new Hinckley-based Triumph company for the 2003 and 2004 model years. This version was an evolution of the TT600, powered by a 599cc liquid-cooled DOHC inline-4 engine, producing 110-112 hp. It featured significant improvements, including new pistons, a lighter crank, a CNC-machined cylinder head, and a Keihin fuel injection system, replacing the TT600's Sagem system. It was available in several colors, including Racing Yellow, Aluminium Silver, and Tornado Red. FAQ:
