Vehicle Information
Yamaha FZ-07 Motorcycle - Street (2014-2017)
The Yamaha FZ-07, known as the MT-07 outside North America, is a versatile and agile motorcycle powered by a 689cc DOHC inline twin-cylinder engine. Produced from 2014 to 2017, it's celebrated for its strong low-to-mid-range torque, delivering a responsive and engaging riding experience. Its engine, featuring a 270-degree "Crossplane Concept" crankshaft, consistently produced around 74 to 75 hp and 68 Nm of torque. Throughout this period, the FZ-07 maintained largely consistent design and engine specifications. There were no significant mid-cycle generation changes or major engine overhauls. The most notable evolution was the introduction of ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) as an option starting with the 2017 model year. Owner discussions also suggest that earlier models (2014-2016) might have experienced transmission issues, which were reportedly addressed or improved in the 2017 models. Cosmetically, the bikes remained very similar, apart from color variations. FAQ:
