The Yamaha Maxim 700, produced from 1985 to 1986, was a popular cruiser motorcycle offering a versatile riding experience. During these years, two primary versions were available: the XJ700 Maxim and the XJ700X Maxim-X. Although sharing the same name and a 697.3 cc displacement, these models featured significant technical differences. The standard XJ700 Maxim was equipped with an air-cooled, inline four-cylinder engine with 2 valves per cylinder.
