The Can-Am Outlander 800 series, produced from 2006 to 2015, established itself as a versatile and robust ATV, powered by a liquid-cooled, SOHC, 4-stroke V-twin Rotax engine with a consistent displacement of 799.9cc or 800cc. This platform offered a wide array of trims designed to meet diverse rider needs, from utility to performance and specialized applications. A significant evolution occurred within this range, primarily concerning the engine. From 2006 to 2008, models featured the 800 H.O. EFI engine, delivering approximately 62 horsepower. Starting in 2009, Can-Am introduced the upgraded 800R EFI engine, which by 2012 was rated at 71 horsepower, marking a notable performance increase.
