Ducati Monster 1000 Motorcycle - Street (2003-2005)
The Ducati Monster 1000, produced from 2003 to 2005, is an iconic naked motorcycle powered by a 992cc L-twin, two-valve per cylinder, air-cooled engine featuring Dual Spark technology. This model replaced the Monster 900ie, representing a significant evolution in performance and chassis design. Introduced in 2003, the Monster 1000 featured a newly designed 992cc Desmodue Dual Spark engine with a modified crank drive, dual ignition, and increased compression. The frame was strengthened, and a new swingarm, derived from the Monster S4, was integrated, enhancing overall stiffness by 30%. The 2004 model year saw few major changes. For 2005, the final year for this iteration, the 1000 Series (including S and Cromo versions) saw its horsepower increase to 94 hp. The Monster 1000 Cromo, characterized by its chrome tank, was also introduced that year.
