Vehicle Information
Honda RVF750R Motorcycle - Street (1993-2009)
The Honda RVF750R, known by its chassis code RC45, was a highly specialized homologation model produced from 1994 to 1999 for the Superbike World Championship. It was not manufactured throughout the entire 1993-2009 period. This high-performance motorcycle featured a liquid-cooled, 90-degree V-four DOHC engine with a displacement of 749.2 cc, equipped with Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI). It succeeded the VFR750R (RC30) and was later replaced by the VTR1000R SP-1 (RC51) in 2000. During its limited production run (1994-1999), the RVF750R (RC45) did not undergo significant mid-cycle generation updates or engine overhauls. Its design remained largely consistent as a homologation special. Key advancements from its predecessor included electronic fuel injection, a redesigned engine with a more oversquare bore and stroke (72 mm x 46 mm), and internal components like titanium connecting rods. A notable variation was the detuned US-spec engine (101 hp) compared to the European/Japanese models (118-119 hp), which could be adjusted. The RC45 was primarily offered as a single, high-performance model without conventional distinct trims. FAQ:
