Yamaha Grizzly 550 ATV (2009-2015)
The Yamaha Grizzly 550, produced from 2009 to 2015, is a robust utility ATV known for its reliability. It featured a 558cc liquid-cooled, fuel-injected single-cylinder engine, delivering manageable power and high-traction torque. This engine, derived from the Grizzly 700, included durable features like a ceramic-composite cylinder liner. Yamaha's Ultramatic automatic transmission, with all-wheel engine braking and a selectable On-Command 4WD system (2WD, 4WD, locked 4WD), was standard across all models.
The 2009-2015 Grizzly 550 range saw no significant engine or platform changes. The primary distinction between versions was the option of Electronic Power Steering (EPS), available from 2009.
