Vehicle Information
Kawasaki Tecate 250 ATV (1984-1987)
The Kawasaki Tecate 250, a high-performance three-wheeled ATV, was produced from 1984 to 1987. It was powered by a liquid-cooled 249cc two-stroke engine. This iconic model underwent significant design changes during its production run. The Tecate 250 was effectively split into two distinct generations. The first generation ("A" models, 1984-1985) featured a top-mounted radiator, an off-center headlight, and a 5-speed manual transmission. The front brake was initially a drum, later updated to a disc. The second generation ("B" models, 1986-1987) introduced a complete redesign with a new split radiator design, an upgraded Uni-Trak suspension, a centered headlight, and standard front and rear disc brakes. The engine was also enhanced with Kawasaki's KIPS system for increased power. Q: How can I ensure parts fit my Kawasaki Tecate 250?
R: Use our year and edition selector at the top of the page to find parts compatible with your specific 1984-1987 model.
