Vehicle Information
Yamaha Tri Moto 125 ATV (1980-1985)
The Yamaha Tri Moto 125 (YT125), produced from 1980 to 1985, was a robust and reliable recreational three-wheeled ATV. It was powered by a 123cc air-cooled, two-stroke, single-cylinder engine, featuring Yamaha's Autolube oil injection system, which eliminated the need for pre-mixing fuel. This engine was paired with a 5-speed transmission and an automatic clutch. While the model remained the YT125 throughout its production, notable improvements were introduced in 1982. The drive chain was upgraded from a 428 to a heavier-duty 520 chain, and a new, easier-to-operate shifting pattern (N-1st-2nd-3rd-4th-5th) was implemented. Minor adjustments to the rear brakes and carburetion also occurred. FAQ:
