Vehicle Information
Kawasaki Ninja ZX-11 Motorcycle - Street (1990-2001)
The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-11, also known as the ZZ-R1100 in markets outside North America, was produced from 1990 to 2001. Renowned for being the fastest production motorcycle for several years, it featured a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, DOHC, 16-valve, inline-four engine with a displacement of 1,052 cc.
A significant update occurred in 1993 with the introduction of the D-model (ZX1100D), which replaced the C-model (ZX1100C, 1990-1993). The D-model brought a new, lighter, and stronger aluminum frame, a redesigned chassis, and an improved ram-air induction system with double intakes and a 33% larger airbox, making it 10% more efficient. It also featured bigger main jets, an increased fuel tank capacity (6.3 gallons from 5.4 gallons), an enlarged exhaust bore, a fatter rear tire, and a 10 mm larger front brake rotor, alongside new bodywork. While the engine displacement remained 1052 cc, these enhancements contributed to the D-model's slightly higher power output, with claimed horsepower reaching 147 hp compared to the C-model's 125-147 hp range.
