Suzuki Bandit 400 Motorcycle - Street (1991-1993)
The Suzuki Bandit 400 (GSF400), produced from 1991 to 1993, is a versatile motorcycle known for its liquid-cooled, 398 cc inline-four DOHC engine with 4 valves per cylinder. This model offered a dynamic riding experience, appealing to riders seeking a nimble and responsive machine. Throughout its production, the Bandit 400 saw several iterations and engine specifications, reflecting Suzuki's continuous development. A notable change occurred in 1991 with the introduction of the Bandit 400V, featuring a Variable Valve Control (VC) engine. This innovative system optimized performance across the RPM range and is often identifiable by a distinctive red cylinder head cover and red brake disc centers. Various trims, including standard, "V" models, and "Limited" editions, were available. In 1993, all Bandit 400 models for the Japanese market experienced a power reduction from 59 hp to 53 hp due to changes in Japanese legislation, involving modifications to components like the camshaft and carburetor.
