The Arctic Cat Alterra 500, produced from 2016 to 2018, is a versatile ATV known for its durability. It features a 443cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, 4-stroke engine with Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) and a SOHC 4-valve configuration, delivering approximately 33 horsepower. This engine is paired with a Duramatic automatic transmission, including an Engine Braking System (EBS), Hi/Lo range, neutral, and reverse. While the engine remained consistent across these years, a significant branding change occurred in 2018.
