The Moto-Ski Nuvik 340 is a classic snowmobile model produced from 1975 to 1979, renowned for its dependable performance. Primarily powered by Rotax fan-cooled twin-cylinder engines, this model offered a robust experience for winter enthusiasts. Throughout its production, the Nuvik 340 was available in various configurations, including the standard model and the Nuvik 340E, which featured an electric start option in select years like 1976, 1977, and 1979. A notable mid-cycle change occurred in 1978, when the Nuvik 340 was equipped with a 295cc Rotax twin engine, deviating from the 339cc engine used in other years. The 1979 model then reverted to the 339cc Rotax engine. Additionally, following Bombardier's acquisition of Moto-Ski in 1975, models from 1976 onwards began to incorporate Bombardier's design influence, including a smooth slide rail suspension and a 120-inch track, while retaining some unique Nuvik characteristics.
