The John Deere Gator XUV 855, produced from 2011 to 2022, is a robust utility vehicle known for its versatility and durability. Throughout this period, all models were powered by a consistent 854cc three-cylinder, liquid-cooled, four-cycle diesel engine. While the engine displacement remained constant, horsepower saw slight variations, initially at 25 hp (2011-2012) and later adjusted to 22.8 hp (from 2013 onwards) for the 855D, 855E, and 855M S4 trims. Significant mid-cycle enhancements were introduced, including improved braking and suspension in 2011, and the introduction of power steering as an option or standard feature across various trims. 2013 brought a new digital instrument cluster, a larger alternator, and an increased fuel tank capacity, alongside the launch of the four-passenger XUV 855D S4. Later, around 2016, the XUV 855E and XUV 855M S4 trims were introduced, often with standard power steering.
