The Yamaha SX700 snowmobile, including its SXR700 and SX700F variants, and the high-performance SRX700 model, defined the 2000 and 2001 model years. These 698cc triple-cylinder, 2-stroke snowmobiles offered distinct configurations. The SX700/SXR700 produced approximately 120 horsepower, while the SRX700, with its triple-piped engine and power valves, reached 142 horsepower. Notable distinctions exist between the 2000 and 2001 models. For 2000, the SRX700 received a new ignition system inspired by the R1, boosting horsepower and fuel economy, along with chassis and rear suspension enhancements.
