Vehicle Information
KTM 360 SX Dirt Bike (1996-1997)
The KTM 360 SX, produced between 1996 and 1997, was a powerful two-stroke motocross motorcycle. Featuring a 353cc single-cylinder engine, it delivered significant torque, comparable to a 500cc engine, while maintaining the handling characteristics of a 250cc. During these years, KTM also offered the 360 MXC (cross-country) and 360 EXC (enduro) variants, sharing the same engine platform. While there was no major generation break, notable adjustments were made. In 1997, the 360 MXC model received refined power valve calibration for improved powerband delivery. The 360 SX saw its SEM K11 ignition system replaced by a Kokusan system in 1997, although the SEM K11 remained an option. Aesthetically, the 1996 and 1997 models were distinguished by their "honeycomb colored plastics," a unique feature before KTM transitioned to orange plastics in 1998. FAQ:
