Vehicle Information
KTM 380 EXC Dirt Bike (1998-2002)
The KTM 380 EXC was a prominent two-stroke enduro motorcycle produced from 1998 to 2002. This liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, 368 cc engine, with a bore and stroke of 78 x 77 mm, delivered robust performance, rated around 55 HP in its initial year. The 380 EXC shared its core engine architecture with the MXC and SX trims, catering to various off-road disciplines. While the engine displacement remained consistent, KTM introduced significant updates during its production run. From 2000 to 2002, the models received a new chassis, lighter upside-down forks, and an updated aluminum swingarm with revised pivot geometry. The 2002 models further refined the swingarm design and featured an upgraded shock absorber with high-speed compression damping adjustment and new valving, enhancing handling and performance. Ignition systems also saw improvements in the 2000-2002 timeframe. FAQ:
