Vehicle Information
Polaris Sportsman X2 500 ATV (2006-2009)
The Polaris Sportsman X2 500, produced from 2006 to 2009, is a versatile utility and recreational ATV, known for its innovative design allowing it to convert from a one-up vehicle with a cargo dump box to a two-up ATV with a passenger seat, all without tools. It is powered by a 499cc (498cc in 2009) liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) engine, delivering approximately 35 horsepower, a platform shared with the Sportsman 500 4x4. While the engine platform remained largely consistent, a minor displacement variation was noted in 2009 (shifting from 499cc to 498cc). The 2007 model year introduced distinct trims such as the X2 500 EFI Deluxe, featuring Active Descent Control (ADC) and a winch, and the X2 500 EFI Mossy Oak, sporting a camouflage pattern. The 2009 model also highlighted the option of 'Turf mode' for the rear differential, enhancing maneuverability. How can I ensure this information applies to my Polaris Sportsman X2 500?
